Our Employees

“When joining Future Science Group, I was entrusted with real responsibility from the off and have been encouraged to grow within the company. The dynamic nature and fluidity of the company has meant that I have had the opportunity to work at every different stage of the production process, right until receiving the final product on my desk at the end of the month. Through the support and training offered to me, and facilitated by the flexibility of the company, I have been privileged to manage and nurture some of the brightest graduates around. The continuing opportunities presented have meant that I am now working in a project manager role which really makes use of my strengths and continues to advance my personal growth. Add the friendly, fun environment to the mix and you get a workplace that I never get bored of and colleagues, nay friends, that I enjoy spending the day with. (I also met my wife here, so that helps).”

Adam Williams, Managing Production Editor (joined November 2005)

“Since working for the Future Science Group I have been given amazing opportunities to progress in my role and contribute to the company. I have been able to experience all sides of the editing process and from day one I was trusted with the responsibility of working on high-quality journals with top authors and peer reviewers. I have also been lucky enough to work on the launch of new journals. This has allowed me to experience the development of content from the initial ideas stage right through to seeing new journals in print, which has been extremely rewarding.”

Laura Dormer, Journal Development Manager (joined October 2003)

“Working here has given me the chance to be involved with a broad array of cutting-edge science, and has provided me with a degree of responsibility and experience at such an early stage in my career that it must be unique in publishing. Collaborating with world class researchers and discussing the latest discoveries provides a typical work-day that’s pretty difficult to beat.”

Sean Cleghorn, Commissioning Editor (joined October 2007)

“When I arrived at Future Science Group, I was given the responsibility of overseeing the company accounts, websites and handling of permission requests. Since then I have seen the company rapidly expand providing me opportunities to work in other areas of the company progressing within my role.  Colleagues are always friendly and willing to give me support, and having them as friends makes everyday working here an enjoyable one.”
