About us:
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), established in 1893, is a private, national, freestanding institution and has operated as such since 1967. MCW has more than 14,000 alumni and more than 1,270 students currently enrolled in educational programs, including 820 medical students and more than 450 graduate students, and is the 11th largest medical school in the United States. MCW faculty supervise approximately 650 physicians in residency Training and 240 in fellowship training through the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. Approximately 200 scientists are engaged in postdoctoral research fellowship training through the office of Postdoctoral Education. MCW provides continuing medical education to more than 40,000 health professional registrants per year.

MCW employs more than 1,500 faculty and 3,900 staff practicing at three major affiliates-Froedtert Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Blood Center of Wisconsin and the Zablocki VA Medical Center, as well as many other hospitals and clinics in the Milwaukee Area. Each year, MCW providers care for more than 400,000 patients, representing more than 1.6 million patient visits.
