About us
Internationally recognized for its pioneering research and treatment of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases, St. Jude is ranked among the best pediatric cancer hospitals in the nation. Founded in Memphis, Tennessee by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital opened its doors in 1962, and has treated children from all 50 states and throughout the world. St. Jude has developed protocols that have helped push overall survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20% at the time of our founding to the current 80%.
