About Us
Tessella successfully delivers software engineering and consulting services to world leaders in R&D, science and engineering. Through the application of scientific methods and rigorous quality procedures, we enable clients in life sciences, energy, the public sector, and consumer industries to achieve a wide range of objectives, including, forecasting floods, developing fusion power, enhancing military sensor capability, improving drug discovery and development efficiency, and reducing risk to health and the environment in the extraction and production of oil and gas. With offices in Europe and North America, global companies rely on Tessella for business-critical assignments.
Our Success
Since our foundation in 1980, the key to our success has been the academic and technical excellence of our staff and our commitment to the high quality of the service we provide. Through this, we have achieved worldwide recognition as leaders in our areas of specialisation.
Our Staff
From supporting safer drug trials, to researching cleaner energy, to developing flood forecasting techniques – Tessella’s technical staff work to deliver solutions that make a difference to real lives. Everyone in our technical team holds a scientific, numerate or engineering degree, most of whom have higher degrees and doctorates. This gives us the background to understand the challenging technical issues faced by our clients. All our staff are provided with an extensive training allowance of 20 days per year – three times the national average.
About You
At whatever level you enter the company, your ability to solve complex problems will be essential in helping deliver consultancy and IT solutions to clients in our target sectors. You should have at least a 2:1 degree in a scientific or numerate subject and experience in at least one of our core programming languages: Java, C#, C++, C or VB.Net. Applicants with Masters and PhDs are welcome.
You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout your career at Tessella, many of which may be based on customers’ sites, so good communication skills and flexibility are also essential. The nature of our business provides regular opportunities for staff to travel to clients’ sites and to work away on projects for periods of time, from several days to a few months. Opportunities for longer secondments to other Tessella offices or to clients overseas may also arise.
To Apply
Throughout the year, we have graduate entry roles as well as some requirements for more senior developers and project managers. Visit our website to keep up to date with our current vacancies. If you are interested in a career at Tessella, apply online at www.tessella.com/careers.
