Central Manchester University Hospitals Foundation Trust (CMFT) is the leading provider of tertiary and specialist healthcare services in Manchester. With the completion of our new £500 million development in June 2009, we now bring together the best of Manchester's healthcare in a single, state-of-the-art site.

Our aim is to become the leading integrated health, teaching, research and innovation campus in the NHS. This section of the site contains in-depth information on how we operate and on what makes CMFT such a rewarding place to work. The organisation contains a breakdown of our different hospitals and the first-class healthcare services we offer.  Benefits covers everything from the working environment to the pension package.

Flexibility and support - We want working at CMFT to be as happy and secure an experience as possible. Outlined below are just some of the ways we try to help our staff enjoy a great quality of life.

Work-life balance - We strongly believe in the principle of flexible working, and try to put it into practice wherever possible. There are currently many different flexible working options in operation. These include flexitime, job share, annualised hours, term-time-only contracts, part-time opportunities and extended days.

Health - Unsurprisingly, the health of our staff is of utmost importance to us. All our employees have access to a full range of occupational health services, most of which are onsite. Flu vaccinations are offered on an annual basis. There are lots of schemes in place to help you keep fit, including yoga classes and weight-loss workshops. As an NHS employee, you will be able to join any JJB healthclub for free (we also have a no-joining-fee arrangement with a number of David Lloyd leisure centres).

Peace of mind - We recognise that our working environment can be high-pressured and demanding. Confidential support and advice are always available, including one-to-one counselling services. We also have a Chaplaincy Service, offering pastoral and spiritual care.
