Our client is a multinational SME organisation growing within the UK and hence looking to recruit an experienced Research and Development Chemist to join their team. 

The company work within the speciality chemical arena, which incorporates: home care, personal care and biocides. Their established product range includes mousse, wipes, creams and gels.

Duties will include formulation and development of new products within the laboratory for innovative wipe products for the industrial, leisure and personal care sector.
Establishing new collaborations and projects with external clients and academic partners.
Using a range of Chemistry techniques to formulate technology for use on product.
Assessment of appropriate materials and characterisation for application of the formulation.
You will be innovative and have a proven track record of managing your own Projects within an R&D environment.  Candidates should be skilled in a variety of chemical techniques and should enjoy a 'hands-on' formulation and development role.

Ideally candidates should hold a degree or above in Chemistry and have skills gained working in a similar role within personal care, home care, speciality chemicals or biocides sector.  It is essential you have experience of development work for wipes for industrial or personal care use, and a background in biocides is preferred.
