Research Fellow in Molecular Plant Pathology

Applications are called for the position of Research Fellow in Molecular Plant Pathology within the College of Sciences at Massey University. You will be a scientist with at least two years post doctoral experience but with demonstrated potential research leadership in molecular plant pathology within New Zealand. The appointee will be expected to be an active researcher within the Bio-Protection Research Centre and make a minor contribution to the teaching programme at Massey University. We request a clearly articulated plan for development of an independent and innovative research programme that embraces modern molecular plant pathology. There is an expectation the appointee would take up the position by July 2012.
You will have a PhD and at least two years postdoctoral research experience in Molecular Plant Pathology or a related discipline with a strong national and emerging international research reputation in this field. Applicants are expected to be active in the fields of genomics and bioinformatics and be able to establish a dynamic research programme in plant molecular pathology.
