Technical Development Scientist - 12 month contract

Located in East Anglia within commuting distance of Cambridge, our client is a large multinational pharmaceutical company. The company can offer excellent opportunities and career progression in pharmaceutical and therapeutics research, clinical supply, development and manufacture.  They are currently seeking a Scientist for their Technical Analytical Development team.
 
Responsibilities

Execution of complex development works in the field of Analytical Chemistry.
The role could involve the use of a wide variety of development and analytical techniques including DSC, TGA, Thermal Analysis, Titrations, NIR, UV and Rheology.  
Develops new methods and applies them in order to support process development activities
Actively participate in the project team meetings for each program under investigation.
Maintenance of comprehensive records of work performed.
Provide reports of work as required.
Complies with regulatory requirements and corporate policies and goals.
Works with a project team and sometimes with other departments, such as EHS, QA and Production, presenting results.

The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre in Chemistry or related subject and will have a proven track record in a similar role.  Experience of the following techniques desired – DSC, TGA, Thermal Analysis, Titrations, NIR, UV. Also experience of Rheology preferred.  You will be an excellent communicator, team player and will be analytically minded.

Role: Temporary contract - 12 months maternity cover  
Salary: Up to £37,000 D.O.E
Location: East Anglia
