The purpose of the role is to be responsible for delivering the Operational supply plan to meet customer requirements within an operating environment that ensures compliance in:

- Product quality, regulatory and cGMP legislation

- Environmental, health & safety legislation

- Company financial controls

- Local and corporate policies and procedures

The role will lead an Operational Team effectively within a wider team based organisation and achieve world class manufacturing operating standards

Key Responsibilities:

- Management of all staff within the Operations team

- Responsible for the Environmental, health & safety standards

- Will implement and maintain standards of quality and cGMP in the Operations

- Will manage all aspects of the manufacture of all bulk pharmaceutical APIs

- Will ensure that documentation, methods and procedures are created

- Will ensure process and manufacturing plans are understood and adhered to

- Will initiate, support and take an active part in Operational Excellence

- Will ensure Operational team is Inspection Ready

- Will carry out non-routine, investigative work as required

Basic requirements:

Candidates will preferably have an honours Degree in Chemistry or a related Science discipline

Experience of manufacturing operations, preferably other sites/ industries

Proven skill in leading people i.e. coaching, meaningful conversations, performance development, talent management and succession planning

An underpinning knowledge of the GMP requirements of active pharmaceutical manufacture

Green belt certified

Comfortable dealing with trade unions, labour relations
