Product Manager - Immunohistochemistry - Based Newcastle - To £60K plus package

This market leader in Histology, Immunohistochemistry, Cancer Diagnostics (Antibodies and Antigens) and Theranostics wishes to appoint a Product Manager for their Immunohistochemistry advanced staining reagents. Based from Newcastle and reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage the implementation of a portfolio of products development to ensure budgeted growth plans are met by:

1.Ensure commercial success of new products by driving and executing new product launch plans
2.Timely and professional product launches by utilising detailed project management approach
3.Providing direction and leadership to the product management team
4.Act as the Voice of sales for product enhancements
5.Liaison with outbound marketing to ensure translation of marketing programs into commercial execution
6.Manage the profitability of product lines, through effective understanding of customer cost levers
7.Working with specialist marketing to ensure marketing collateral maximises sales outcomes,
8.Assist in the development of older product road-maps

The role interfaces between sales, support, R+D and production. It contributes to the creation and launch of new products, monitoring and structuring product development through the product launch excellence process, ultimately taking responsibility for products through the lifecycle to retirement. You will be accountable for producing global marketing plans to include strategy for all current and new reagents (antibodies, detection systems, antigen retrieval solutions, enzymes, ISH and FISH reagents), for managing pricing and the production of sales support and marketing materials and data sheets, for sales forecasting and for researching and communicating new potential reagents.

Essentially selection criteria are:
1.Proven business leader with track-record of market share and profit growth
2.Extensive experience in Biomedical industry, ideally Histology or cancer diagnostics
3.Sound judgement with ability to balance big picture thinking and appropriate attention to detail, with a risk management focus
4.MBA level business skills; innate commercial acumen
5.Strong Strategic thinking and analytical skills
6.Exceptional communication skills.
7.High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy.
8.Excellent leadership and people management skills.
9.Excellent project management skills; high attention to detail and follow-through on commitments
10.Extensive Product Management experience
