Job Description:
The purpose of this role is to provide high-quality English translations of product information texts and of other documents relevant to regulatory procedures, and to ensure the linguistic quality of product information texts written in English. Using the group's translation/terminology software (SDL Studio 2009), translates Swiss prescribing information texts and correspondence with Swissmedic from German into English, and translates other regulatory- relevant documents into English, primarily from German but where possible also from other languages; performs detailed linguistic review of labelling documents written in English (e.g. core datasheet, basic patient leaflet, etc.); reviews documents translated by external partners; acts as adviser on language-related matters; researches terminology and keeps up to date with relevant templates and official guidelines; provides support related to EU centralised procedure translation activities (e.g. creation of pdfs, artwork input).
Minimum requirements:
University degree (MA or higher) in languages or a bioscience and appropriate experience in other area. Translation qualification desirable. Excellent written and oral skills in English (must be native speaker) and German. Additional languages (in particular French) an advantage. At least 3 years' experience as medical/technical translator. Experienced user of SDL Studio software.
