The Department of Neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a neuroscientist for an endowed faculty position in the Center for Neurodegeneration and Experimental Therapeutics. This position requires a scientist or physician-scientist with a primary interest in basic or translational research in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity and resources to develop an outstanding program of research in a strongly collaborative setting. The neurosciences at UAB are expanding vigorously, and the infrastructure for basic and clinical research is excellent. Important aspects of the environment include strong basic and clinical programs in cognition and cognitive disorders, genetics, neuroimaging, and drug discovery and therapy development.
Applicants should be scientists or physician-scientists qualified for appointment at the full Professor level and have a strong funding history and publication record.
