
Head of Communications - Pharma - Near Dublin - Excellent salary and benefits
Global, broad-based health care company devoted to the discovery, development, manufacture and marketing of pharmaceuticals and medical products seeks a Head of Communications for their pharmaceutical division. This is a new role which has arisen due to restructuring.
The key function of the role is to provide leadership and strategic direction to external communications to build and protect the company's reputation in Ireland. Devise and manage execution of strategies which support the needs of the commercial pharmaceutical and manufacturing operations. Build the company's corporate reputation among the general public, the local communities in which its sites are located and other stakeholders through the development and delivery of external communication strategies which support the company's key reputation management initiatives.
You should have experience in public relations of which a minimum of two years experience in healthcare/life sciences/pharmaceutical field. Extensive media management experience including issue/crisis management. Should have excellent interpersonal, analytical, written and verbal communications skills and be an effective influencer. Must have spokesperson experience. Experience of overseeing PR agencies.
Degree in Science and/or Business
