POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology

Postdoctoral position available immediately to conduct biophysical and pharmacological studies of native and recombinant ryanodine receptors from cerebrovascular myocytes.  Applicants must have a PhD in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience or related field.  Documented (i.e., scientific abstracts, original research article publications, doctoral thesis) proficiency in electrophysiological recordings of ryanodine receptors using ion channel protein reconstitution into artificial bilayers is absolutely required.
