My client is looking for a Protein Biochemist to join a multi-disciplinary team of talented scientists.
The role is based in the laboratory and the successful candidate will be involved in expressing and purifying proteins in vitro and characterizing their properties utilising techniques in protein biochemistry and molecular biology. You will need to have experience in the chemical modification of proteins.
You will be working under the guidance of more senior team members to achieve the highest level of practical and scientific work.
To be considered you should have a minimum of a BSc in a relevant subject, with preferably a higher qualification and experience in chemical modification of proteins. Experience gained within a commercial laboratory will be an added advantage. Experience in using automated protein purification techniques, including AKTA FPLC would be extremely useful.
