Further information

Molecular Devices, part of the Medical Technologies platform of Danaher Corporation is one of the world’s leading producers of high-performance bioanalytical measurement systems for screening and selection of mammalian secretory cell lines, selection of microbial colonies, high-throughput screening, genomic and cellular analysis, and microplate detection. These leading-edge products enable customers to improve research productivity and effectiveness which ultimately accelerates the complex process of discovering and developing new drug compounds.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Scientist/Senior Scientist to contribute scientific leadership and expertise to the Molecular Devices product development process – including the identification and development of new business opportunities and the enhancement of existing systems, assays and applications. As part of the R&D Biology team, the successful applicant – through hands-on research and supervision of small scientific teams – will play a key role in driving product ideas and enhancements from conception to reality. The role will require the ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary project teams alongside colleagues with engineering, optical and software development expertise.

We are looking for an innovative and commercially aware scientist with a PhD and preferably some post-doctoral experience in molecular cell biology, biochemistry or a related discipline. Expertise in one or more of cell line development, cellular imaging, stem cell biology, tissue culture optimisation, synthetic biology, cell signalling, biopharmaceutical drug discovery, or assay/application development would be highly desirable.
