We are currently looking for a Research Scientist for our Medicinal Chemistry department in our expanding Discovery Research Hub in Slough (UK). The person will contribute to the discovery of novel pharmaceuticals by proposing and carrying-out medicinal chemistry research programmes that are focussed on project team goals. You will apply your knowledge and practical experience of organic synthesis and analytical techniques to synthesise, purify and fully characterise target molecules. You will be expected to develop your understanding of drug design and use your experience to identify and solve problems that may occur in your project work.
Qualifications We are seeking a talented individual with a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Organic Chemistry with a high level of theoretical and practical ability in modern organic synthesis techniques. Strong communication skills are required as well as the ability to work independently. An appreciation of medicinal chemistry, while not essential, would be an advantage.
