Mathematical Developer - Statistical Modelling - C++ - Cambridge
One of the industry's leading Mathematical Data Programming Companies in the world, based in Cambridge, are currently looking to recruit a number of experienced and graduate Mathematical Developers to help with the programming of cutting edge Mathematical Algorithms. Your core focus will be working with C++ development tools specifically dealing with Object Oriented (OO) development. The role has become available due to the success in the market place followed up with expansion of the business.
You will be working within an established team of Mathematical, Physicists, C++ and C# experts working on new statistical programming for the scientific and mathematics fields. As the company is growing and they have an increased number of clients they really need experienced programmers with a number of years in industry.
There are also a number of graduate positions for candidates straight from University; you will need to hold a 1st or 2:1 degree from a leading university in Mathematics, Science or Engineering while you were developing Mathematical programs. If you hold a PhD this would also be advantageous.
The majority of your work will be within development of C++ code, due to this you will need to have extensive experience with advanced C++ programming. As your programming with be on complex mathematical software you will need to have strong mathematical & numerical ability. It will also be ideal if you have strong exposure to using STL & Boost.
The team you will work in have a high level of education so it is expected that you will hold a 1st or 2:1 degree in a Mathematical, Scientific or Engineering field. It would also be advantageous if you hold a PhD.
