Technical Author - Scientific & Mathematical Software - Cambridge
An industry leading Scientific and Mathematical Software organisation that supply's statistical programming software all around the world, based in Cambridge, is currently keen to add a Technical Author to their staff to help with vastly increased workloads. This global, scientific software house is a true a leader in its field; providing software solutions across the Clinical, Scientific, Mathematics, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical sectors. You will be a key member of this companies continued success documenting large technical & scientific projects.
As the Technical Author, you will be accountable for producing user guides and other end user documentation relating to new cutting edge Scientific Software applications. Collaborating with R&D groups, scientific software teams and business development consultants, you will be expected to utilise your technical expertise in the production of detailed technical documents for some of the UK's leading Mathematics, Clinicians, Scientists and research professionals.
Ideally a candidate will have experience documenting large technical & scientific projects. So that you fully understand the technologies involved it will be essential that you have a strong background in engineering, science or mathematics. It is essential that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have had technical documents used in industry.
The successful candidate will be educated to a MSc or BSc level (PhD preferred) in a Scientific field, ideally Chemistry, Biology, Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Cheminformatics, Mathematics, Physics or statistics discipline. You will have a real passion for technical disciplines with prior experience in writing, editing or documenting technical or scientific subjects.
