This vacancy is for graduate chemists or related disciplines to carry out various duties as directed by the Laboratory Supervisor.
Applicant will have several years experience in the preparation and testing of oil and lubricant samples and be able to use various analytical techniques such as SEM, TGA, FTIR, GC, Karl Fischer etc.
Duties & Requirements will include:
Maintaining QC checks and Interpreting test results; reviewing and checking before reporting to clients..
Maintaining good laboratory housekeeping practices.
Working knowledge of health & Safety and COSHH
Washing laboratory beakers/glassware.
Preparation of solvents and control & calibration samples.
Disposal of used oil samples and carrying chemicals from the Chemical Store.
Must be able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and
clients.
Should have a flexible attitude and be familiar with and committed to quality assurance.
Applicants will be expected to be PC literate.
