You will have:

• PhD in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• an established research track record including research publications in top conferences and journals
• track record of teaching excellence and a strong commitment to teaching and learning
• demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively
• a track record of obtaining research funding and/or supervising a research  team
• industry and/or academic experience in one or more of the following areas: software development methodologies, human-computer interaction, mobile applications, signal or image processing, biomedical engineering, embedded systems, smart grids.

Understanding of some software methodologies i.e. Agile methodologies and previous technical coverage across some of the followings would be an advantage: Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, C++, C#, Microsoft Kinect.

The position is fixed-term for three years subject to completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of appointment.

Remuneration package: approx. $104K-$124K p.a., including Level B base salary, leave loading and 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation). The Level of appointment will be commensurate with experience and expertise.

Some assistance towards travelling cost and visa sponsorship may be available for the successful appointees if required and level of appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
