A small company that develops software systems for the acquisition and management of scientific test data is looking to recruit a Software Developer to join their team in East Anglia.
They are looking for a graduate to join the team in a computing/IT role, focusing on web and product development. Your main role will be to help improve the online presence and assist the development of their products and internal systems.
There are several web-based systems that need constantly building upon, including the main company website and internal systems for project management, document control etc. You will take on much of the responsibility for developing these further. There will also be opportunities to contribute to product development. This could range from assisting with development on web and desktop applications to creating data reporting systems using SQL.
Whilst computer skills are central to the role, a computer science degree is not essential if you have developed relevant skills whilst studying a different discipline. You will have experience of writing XHTML/CSS code and using object-oriented programming languages such as PHP.
