Summary
A brand new opportunity for an enthusiastic and personable candidate with experience related to Packaging, whether through being a Packing Technologist, studying Packaging at university or working your way up as a Senior Packaging Operator in an industrial setting. If you have an interest in both the technical side (packing materials, artwork approval, practicalities of implementing new processes on the shop floor etc) and in people (communicating new ideas, co-ordinating projects and ensuring that people in different departments are working together), this would be the ideal role for you! This would also be a fantastic opportunity for someone wishing to relocate to a beautiful part of the country, on the coast of North Devon.
Candidates will be considered from a variety of industries (Food, FMCG, Pharma, Medical Devices etc), provided you understand high-speed packaging processes and the need for regulatory compliance.

The Role
Using your expertise to the full, you will be responsible for co-ordinating a range of project activities relating to New Product Introduction and the performance and compliance of existing blister / bottle lines.
Ensuring compliance to GMP and EHS requirements, you will provide technical leadership support to the engineering and operational teams for compliance failures and performance issues, using thorough root cause analysis. You will perform the technical approval of new artwork / designs and work with various onsite teams to evaluate the feasibility and practicality of production. Driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the Packaging function, you will train operational staff and be involved in SOP refinements.
This is a challenging, fast-paced role that requires a professional attitude and genuine drive.
Hours of work: 8am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday; 8am – 2pm Friday.

Experience
The successful candidate must have some kind of Packaging background, ideally with some experience in a regulated, high-speed environment (Food, Pharmaceutical, FMCG etc). Senior Packaging Operators will also be considered. You must have first-rate communication skills and the ability to manage several projects at once.
