    Summary

A brand new opportunity for an experienced, people-oriented Team Leader who has worked within a high-speed, regulated clean room facility, preferably relating to packaging within the Pharmaceutical, Food, Medical Device, Cosmetics or FMCG industries. This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone wishing to relocate to a beautiful part of the country, on the coast of North Devon.

    The Company

One of the global leaders in the production of Generic Pharmaceutical products, with a presence in 40 countries and 650 products on the market. The UK facility in North Devon, set in a beautiful location near the sea, has been around for over 30 years and has the capacity to manufacture and package almost 6 billion tablets, capsules and suppositories annually, mostly producing prescription-only drugs. The company prides itself on its welcoming, positive working environment and internal career development opportunities. To demonstrate its commitment to attracting the best possible staff, the company offers a generous relocation package and extra benefits, on top of a good basic salary.

    The Role

Using your expertise to the full, you will lead a team of around 20 Packaging staff (Operators, Cleaners etc) on a Double Day shift basis. You will be responsible for managing all areas of the team’s work and it will be essential for you to have a regular presence on the shop floor, knowing at all times exactly what is happening across the shift, making sure that all individuals are working together as efficiently as possible. You will ensure that GMP is being followed at all times and that batch documents are completed correctly. You will also allocate work, train staff on new processes and product lines, and be on hand to co-ordinate improvements to the department.

This is a very people-oriented position and you need to be the kind of person who can react quickly, handling both technical and team-related issues. Reporting to the Packaging Manager, you will be able to promote a positive, hard-working culture.

Double Day shift pattern, as follows:

    Week 1: 6am – 2pm Monday to Thursday; 6am – 12pm Friday

    Week 2: 1.45pm – 9.45pm Monday to Thursday; 11.45am – 5.45pm Friday

    Benefits

  • Relocation Assistance (if applicable)
  • 27 Days’ Holiday
  • Pension (company will double your contribution, up to 15%)
  • Contributory Healthcare Scheme
  • Sick Pay
  • Childcare Vouchers
  • Onsite Subsidised Restaurant
  • Free Car Parking
  • Sports & Social Club

    Experience

The successful candidate must have a strong Production background, gained in a clean room environment. You must have some experience in the high-speed packaging of regulated items (Pharmaceuticals, Food, Medical Devices, Cosmetics or other FMCG products). Just as importantly, you must be a confident, people-oriented Manager who has a positive, encouraging nature.

Given the company’s location, candidates are welcome to apply if they are looking to relocate. If so, please can you provide specific details as to why you are interested in moving.
