
Our client are a major FMCG business who are looking for a claims specialist to join their haircare team based in Cheshire. Experience with scientific product development and consumer research is essential
The key job role is to support the execution of the Claims programme for the Global Hair category. The position requires working on multiple Innovation projects under the supervision of the Claims Manager and requires interaction in a multi-disciplinary business environment. The role could require both coordination of junior study assistant work schedules and working with external suppliers.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Employ a sound understanding of the category, brands, competitive environment and technology to develop robust strategies to support product claims and defend or attack product claims by challenge.
Define and or contribute to the research proposals for innovation, strategic or competitor benchmarking studies by engaging with the product or packaging development teams during the brief and proposal stages in order to ensure efficient use of these data opportunities in support of product claims.
Conduct or coordinate the completion of any claims associated product testing whether it is technical, clinical or consumer testing. Input into novel methodologies where necessary
Capture all relevant claim support data, interpret and write the claims support dossier. Report and/or present the findings
Translate claims into demonstrations that are consumer relevant and drive innovation understanding with consumers, sales, legal, pr/advertising agencies, and external category influencers (magazine editors, etc)
Analyze the product competitive environment to identify possible competitive challenge opportunities.
In the event of product challenge, execute and prepare defence testing and claims dossier.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Science or social science degree with some chemistry background or equivalent
Consumer research experience and/or Scientific Product Development experience.
Technical product evaluation (appraisal, clinical, instrumental expertise) desirable.
Understanding of legal marketing law and product regulations regionally or globally desirable
