Job Summary:
My client, a fast growing and innovative Contract Manufacturing Organization dedicated to the production of high quality recombinant proteins which is based in a Biotech Region in North Spain, are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Director. This role will report into the Quality Director.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
*Performing, coordinating and supervising all the QC Laboratory activities.
*Development and Validation of analytical methods.
*Managing the budget, in terms of human resources, materials and related costs and setting targets.
*Leading and managing the Quality Control Team.
*Ensuring a continuous innovation and optimisation of the analytical methods and technologies, in order to keep a high level and excellence of scientific know-how.
*Identifying new clients and setting follow plans for medium and long term projects.
*Being the first point of contact for Company's Clients regarding Analytical Control issues.
Essential Skills & Capabilities:
*Life Sciences Degree preferred, with high level of biotech technology knowledge.
*At least 7 years in a QC Department of biotechnology companies, ideally in recombinant proteins or monoclonal antibodies manufacturing companies.
*Highly skilled in the Analytical Techniques (cellular, molecular and physico-chemical).
*Good knowledge of chromatographic sciences and analytical methods e.g. ELISA, Wester-Blot, HTP, HPLC (RP,SC).
*Line Management, leadership and communication skills are crucial in this position.
*In depth knowledge of GMP or GLP.
*Familiar with GM, EMEA and ICHQ regulations.
*Official work language to hold this position is English.
