POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

New Postdoctoral Fellowships are being offered to attract outstanding researchers within six years from the award of their PhD to conduct full-time research in any of the faculties and schools at the University of Sydney.  The research we do makes a real difference, reaching beyond our campus to bring tangible benefits to the wider community: both locally and internationally.

The University of Sydney Postdoctoral Fellowships were established in 1996 to support excellence in full-time research undertaken at the University. The Fellowships are extremely prestigious and highly competitive internationally in line with equivalent externally funded fellowships.

Term and remuneration
These will be available from January 2013 for a maximum duration of three years, with a starting salary of A$83,998 and research support of A$25,000.

How to apply

Applicants are required to follow a three stage process:
1. Find a University of Sydney academic sponsor and contact them directly.
2. Submit a brief CV (5 pages max.), project title and summary and written confirmation from their proposed sponsor by 13 July 2012 to the host faculty/school contact. This will be assessed by the host faculty/school. Only the applicants endorsed by the host faculty/school can proceed to a full application.
3. Complete and submit a full application online at the University of Sydney careers website.
