Usability Design Engineer - Medical Devices - Creative Design - Hertfordshire

Are you an experienced Design Engineer with a flair for the creative properties of product development? Have you worked on a range of Medical Devices? And have you focused on the ergonomics, usability and Human Factors when developing these products? Then I am sure you will be interested in this Usability Design Engineer role in Hertfordshire where you will be working on a range of Medical Devices Products.

This company have a fantastic reputation working with Medical Devices organisations, due to this they need experienced Design Engineers who have a real passion working in the Medical Devices sector. Due to this it will be expected that you have a portfolio of successful Medical Devices Designs that have made it to production. This is a great role as you will get to work on a range of Medical Devices including Surgical, Diagnostics and Surgical Medical Devices.

Your portfolio will include products that have successfully passed FDA, MDD or Human Factors standards reviews. You will be using 3D CAD tools to create these creative and innovative Medical Devices, so you will need strong knowledge of Pro-Engineer or Solidworks.

A main focus of your role will be requirement gathering from clients, due to this you will need strong people skills and be able to use probative questions to find out the specific requirements of any projects you are working on.

Due to the excellent reputation of this company many of the people who work there tend to get promoted internally, especially as they offer excellent training and development. The few that leave find that working for this organisation opens up a lot of opportunities in their careers.

There is a lot of interest in this role and interviews are already being arranged, due to this they are asking that you will hold a 1st or 2:1 degree in a Mechanical Engineering or Product Design field. Ideally you will also hold either a Masters degree in either industrial Design or Human Factors subjects.

We will consider applications from Graduate Candidates, however you will also need to have straight A's at A-Level and you would have worked on a Medical Devices Project during your education.

As I mentioned interviews are already happening so you will need to apply now if you are interested. For more information please feel free to contact myself, Andrew Welsh the Manager of the Medical Devices Division here at Paramount Recruitment, on 0121 616 3463.
