Research Associate, Enzymology

We are looking for a research associate to support the pivotal functions of the UK biochemical screening and mechanistic enzymology group.

You will be responsible for generating inhibition data for test compounds in support of drug discovery, using a variety of manual and automated assay formats (e.g radiometric, spectrophotometric, fluorometric, direct binding), as well as supporting the day-to-day compound-management function of the UK site. Other roles and responsibilities may include characterising enzyme kinetics and inhibitor mode-of-action, and supporting the high-throughput screening activities of the group.
We are looking for candidates with strong communication and time management skills, who are comfortable working to stringent protocols and are capable of working independently as part of a busy and highly motivated team. You will have a scientific background, preferably with a degree in a relevant discipline, strong mathematical skills and experience of working in a drug discovery laboratory environment.
