Service Team Leader - Instrumentation - Karlsruhe

An international, market leading corporation who supply scientific instrumentation have an exciting opportunity for a Service Team Leader to join their expanding service team. The Engineer will need to be based in Karlsruhe, Germany, covering the whole of Europe.

As a Service Team Leader your main responsibilities will be supporting the European Service Manager to ensure that all service requirements are dealt with. You will also get the opportunity to build relationships with key stakeholders in the company HQ based in Santa Barbara and Tucson in the US. Other roles include the implementation of new service contracts and techniques to boost revenue and/or reduce costs and improve the service levels in terms of down time for the company's clients. It will also be your role to support, motivate and train other members of the service team. This role will provide the right engineer with a great opportunity to travel around Europe. The Service Team Leader will travel around 50% of the time, the other 50% will mostly be spent at HQ in Karlsruhe.

In order to be considered for the Service Team Leader position you must have the following:

*A degree in engineering or relevant subject An additional Masters degree in engineering and PhD in Biology would be extremely advantageous.
*Exceptional experience with the testing, diagnosis and maintenance of complex Electro-Mechanical systems.
*Exceptional communication and customer interaction skills.
*The ability to solve problems systematically with the utilization of structured processes independently and implement the correction action to resolve the issue.
*Prepared to travel to sites across Europe to align with the customer's work schedule. Minimum 50% travel.
*An understanding of basic computer language and commands.
*Must be willing to relocate to Karlsruhe, Germany.
