My client is a Diagnostics Company providing invitro Point-of-Care testing and are looking for a Research Scientist to join their team.
The role will involve designing and refining novel nucleic acid-based diagnostic technologies and associated assays. The successful candidate will also be expected to conduct detailed analyses of data derived from assay methods using enzymatic, biochemical and molecular biology techniques.
A PHD in a molecular-based science is essential as is extensive nucelic acid assay development experience. Experience with commerical IVD product development will be advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will also need to have a detailed knowledge of enzymes used in DNA amplification reactions and of exo- and endonucleases used in the detection of nucleic acids.
