Zest Scientific Sales Recruitment is partnered with a global provider of Nanomechanical Testing Technology to identify an accomplished Analytical Instrument Sales Specialist to join my clients Business Development team. The International Sales Manager will primarily be based out of the North West office, responsible for managing Channel Partners and Distributors across the US, Asia and Europe. Naturally, the role will require global travel and the successful candidate should expect to spend circa 70 - 80 days on overseas business travel. The International Sales Manager vacancy provides an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished Technical Sales professional to attain their first Management role. Candidates with a commercial sales background in Physics / Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science are of particular interest.
The International Sales Manager will drive a small sales team / global distributor network within an innovative, design led business where you will be given autonomy to develop and execute a business development plan. The Nanomechanical Analytical Technology enables a range of mechanical properties to be investigated and is applicable to a range of application areas with Academia accounting for a high proportion of annual sales. Knowledge and previous experience managing lengthy sales cycles within Materials Science or a related sector is highly desirable.
Zest Scientific Recruitment is very interested in discussing this opportunity with candidates with a proven track record in Scientific Instrument Sales coupled with a background in Materials Science or related field. Previous distributor management experience is advantageous, although not essential. It is essential that applicants demonstrate enthusiasm, a natural flair for relationship building and an enterprising approach to business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be provided with a high degree of autonomy and the International Sales Manager will need to be comfortable directing projects and working in a self managing, relaxed structure.
