Senior Analytical Chemist - Food, Ingredients and Flavours

Our client is a food, ingredients and flavours organisation based in the South of the UK. They are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Analytical Chemist to manage the analytical instrumentation laboratory to be responsible for the management and running of the Company’s instrument/ chromatographic laboratory (and non-routine analysis of samples as required).
Duties will include routine maintenance and general housekeeping of the instruments to ensure accurate analysis of quality control samples for both production and development groups. Typically samples will be food, food flavours and ingredients. Method development experience on GC-MS and GC-Headspace is an important aspect of this role.
Ideal candidates will hold a degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related discipline coupled with a proven track record of troubleshooting with chromatography instrumentation. Applicants welcome from within the food & flavours industry.
