Postdoctoral Positions in the Bosco Lab

Chromosome/Chromatin Biology and Epigenetics

Two positions available in Dr. Giovanni Bosco's laboratory, Department of Genetics, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth (http://www.dartmouth.edu/~genetics/about/).  The Bosco lab recently relocated to Dartmouth. We are interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of chromosome structure, nuclear architecture and how this functions to regulate epigenetic and genetic traits. We use both Drosophila and cultured human cells to investigate these fundamental questions. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a PhD degree and proven record of independent research. Individuals with experience in genomics, statistics and/or computational biology are especially encouraged to apply. Experience in microscopy and chromatin biochemistry is desired but not necessary.

Excellent computer skills, a strong publication record and three letters of recommendation are necessary. Successful applicants will work with the PI to submit post-doc fellowship applications.

Dartmouth is located in the rural Upper Valley of New Hampshire. Located near the Connecticut River which separates New Hampshire and Vermont, it provides easy access to a variety of outdoor activities. Most notably, its proximity to the Appalachian Trail (http://www.nps.gov/appa/index.htm), the New England Seashore and major US East coast cities (Boston, 2 hours; New York City, 5 hours) make it ideal for outdoor and city lovers alike.
