Jealott’s Hill, Bracknell, Berkshire

Do you have knowledge of PMI (and ideally PMP certification), an understanding of informatics and a good grasp of R&D in the crop protection/seeds business? At Syngenta, we’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Research & Development Information Systems (RDIS) team. This team has a global remit for ensuring that our scientific innovation is underpinned by advancements in information management.

You’ll have a pivotal role to play in driving the agile delivery of solutions within bioinformatics – one of the fastest-evolving areas in Syngenta R&D. The role will involve planning, managing and implementing large and complex international IS projects and programmes in line with our Global Business Change Methodology. Key objectives will be to ensure delivery within budgetary parameters, manage the escalation of project issues and provide support to other project managers. The role will entail frequent travel between our global sites.

We’re looking for significant experience of managing complex projects and leading teams in challenging environments. As well as familiarity with all PMI processes – and the knowledge to exploit them for successful delivery – experience of PRINCE2 would be useful. A sound understanding of bioinformatics, cheminformatics and quantitative genetics is essential. An awareness of different global R&D cultures, along with the interpersonal skills to engage with senior stakeholders, will also be paramount.

In return, you can look forward to a competitive salary and an attractive range of benefits, along with excellent prospects for career progression in our expanding team.
