As an experienced project manager in preclinical / early stage development, you will provide overall project management leadership to project development teams. As project manager in the biopharmaceutical area you will coordinate and integrate the activities of a team of subject matter experts with accountability for developing approved development plans. You will be liaising with external customers/clients and internal managers to manage projects and oversee the project teams undertaking the analysis and development work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and integrate the activities of a team of subject matter experts with accountability for developing an approved development plan (e.g.: Product Development Plan), subject to further approval as may be required
- Drive performance against the integrated product development plan and seek opportunities to accelerate project activities
- Provide clear direction on product development project requirements and deliverables and communicate expectations to internal and external stakeholders
- Apply project management best practices in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects that ensures delivery of a high quality product on time and within budget
- Work with Business Unit Head or designee to identify core team members and to ensure team membership is appropriate at each stage of the project
- Anticipates potential development hurdles and issues and proactively establish a risk management plan to avoid or minimise performance delays or cost overruns
Skills, Education, Background and Experience:
· BSc, MSc, PhD in Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, or other related life science required
· Hands on expertise with MS Project required
· Provide overall project management leadership to the project development teams
· Coordinate and integrate the activities of a team of subject matter experts with accountability for developing an approved development plan (e.g. Product Development Plan), subject to further approval as may be required
· Experience of budgeting highly desirable
· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Six-Sigma or Lean training is highly desirable
