Further information

Here is a hot new opportunity with a global, high-tech company with over 3500 employees and annual turnover of approx $1 billion.

We have a great opportunity for an Applications and Sales Engineer to support their growing UK business, and to promote their range of research-grade cameras in life-science microscopy.

The role primarily involves the technical demonstration of high-quality CCD and scientific CMOS cameras in the biomedical and life science market. You will also get involved in customer visits to demonstrate cameras (camera installation, software operation, image acquisition), attendance at exhibitions/trade shows, and customer training ( hardware & software ). The role is office based with approximately 30-40% UK-wide travel. (including Ireland) The following skills will be required: practical experience of microscope imaging ( eg fluorescence microscopy ).

Technical sales experience is desirable but not necessary as full training will be given. Knowledge of microscopy applications and techniques ( eg FRET, TIRF etc ) is much more important as you will be working  with customers to show them what is possible with your image capture technology. This role is open to those with good practical microscopy skills with the character and enthusiasm to break into their first technical commercial role.
