An opportunity exists for an electrochemist, physical chemist, chemical engineer or materials scientist with experience in corrosion testing techniques to join a world-class team in the Materials Division at NPL. You will be providing research activities and technical support to a multi-discipline group conducting testing and research activities in corrosion and electrochemistry.
The successful candidate will have a good first degree and relevant PhD, master's degree or industrial experience. Experience with autoclave testing, mechanical testing, electrochemical techniques and advanced materials characterisation techniques would be advantageous. Adaptability, an enquiring mind, and an enthusiasm for exploring new directions will be key attributes. Good presentational skills and an eagerness to promote your research are essential.
This post is initially for a period of three years.
