Job Summary:

The Clinical Research Nurse works 40 hrs a week M-F within the Breast Cancer Disease Center. The nurse works within a team of 5 other research nurses, and collaborates with a group of 21 providers and is responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of clinical research trials process within the Breast Oncology program.
The primary responsibilities include patient assessment and coordination involved with the enrollment of patients on a clinical trial, the monitoring for toxicities during treatment, and follow up at study completion. The research nurse works in a fast paced, multidisciplinary team, advocating patient care needs across many collaborating service linesand reports study monitoring among various cooperative sponsorships.
The nurse must have clinical expertise in breast cancer and or solid tumor malignancies, and utilize evidence based practice in the management of patients undergoing oncological clinical trials.
Job Qualifications:
Required Degree: BSN, and OCN preferred.
Experience: 1-2 years of nursing experience in oncology required; 1 year of nursing research experience, or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge and experience with breast cancer and a commitment to continued learning are also required.
Schedule:
40 hours/week, working Monday - Friday
