Industrial Design Engineer - Human Factors - Cambridgeshire - Medical Devices
One of the leading design consultancy Firms, in the world, are currently looking for a number of Industrial Design Engineers to work on the specific design of new and creative Medical Devices. You will be using all of your previous experience to research new designs that are in line with Medical Devices and Human Factors standards.
You will get to work on a whole range of Medical Devices including drug delivery systems, surgical technologies, diagnostics devices and many other areas. You will be working within an established team of Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Physicists and Electronics Engineers. This means you will have a group of well respected peers to learn from to develop your industry knowledge.
To be successful in this role you must already have a proven track working on the R&D and industrial design of successful Medical Devices. This could be within large Pharmaceutical companies, Medical Devices Organisations or other design consultancies. If you have not worked on Medical Devices previously you cannot be considered for this role. The 3D CAD tools you will be using will be either SolidWorks or Pro-Engineer, so you will need to have expert knowledge of one of these.
You will be working within a team of industry experts and scientists, due to this it is expected that you hold a 1st or 2:1 degree, ideally in a Industrial Design or Human Factors related discipline, from a Russell Group University. It would also be ideal if you hold a MSc & PhD but not essential.
This role will allow you to your product portfolio and will provide you with a number of possible career options. Most the people who work for this company tend to either move into very senior position or establish companies of their own. However the people who work in this type of role find it very rewarding as they are learning new things every day.
