Our Yorkshire based client are actively looking for a Site Chemist to carry out site testing / sample preparation on a Landfill site.

Duties for this position will include :-

- Using a variety of hand held field based analysers to test gases and water samples
- Understanding environmental legislation and limit values for contaminants
- Taking and preparing samples to be sent to external laboratories for testing
- Completing sample identification documentation
- Working outside (in all weather)

Applications are invited from candidates with a HNC / BSc in Chemistry, together with previous suitable skills and experience gained in similar environmental testing environment.

Candidates should note that this position will involve working outdoors and some physical tasks

This is a 6 month temporary position (possibly leading to a permanent position), offering a salary of up to £22,000 p/r (depending on skills and experience)
