Location: Berkshire
Salary: 23-30K
Duration: 2 years
Were looking for an experimentalist who has a degree or equivalent qualification or experience, in a biological discipline - ideally with a specialisation in plant sciences.
The successful candidate will be expected to organise and conduct plant based assays, providing data on the symptomology, uptake and translocation of our herbicide compounds. Other areas of responsibility will be to characterize the treated plants using molecular biology approaches.
This will involve working in multidisciplinary teams, providing high quality data to address project challenges. You will be working in lab and glasshouse environments both independently and as part of a team. Method development and implementation of new ideas or changes to established protocols and systems will be a key part of the role.
An understanding of plant biology and crop protection is essential and experience of molecular biology would also be advantageous. You should have experience working in a lab and have a strong ability to plan and carry out high quality experiments. The ability to organize your workload and communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients is also essential.
