Senior Analyst / Laboratory Manager - Food Chemistry

Due the promotion within the business of the previous Senior Analytical Chemist / Laboratory Manager there is a rare opening for a talented and commercially focused scientist to join a busy and growing contract analytical business who focus on chromatographic analysis for the food industry.

Day to day the successful Senior Analytical Chemist / Laboratory Manager would be expected to be the first point of contact for existing customers and also an ambassador for the laboratories services to potential clients. Focused on the quality, turn around time and commercial side we are looking to identify a talented chemist with a good appreciation of UKAS, ISO17025 and the contract analytical laboratory service business.

The Senior Analytical Chemist / Laboratory Manager is likely to be degree qualified, with several years hands on analytical experience of food analysis by HPLC, GC etc. They will have worked in a commercial laboratory environment. Great organizational, commercial and communication skills are required to succeed in this pacy environment, previous supervision experience would also be an advantage.
