Principal Scientist who is a recognized expert in (GC-MS) gas chromatography-mass spectrometry is required for this technical project management and customer focused role. The laboratory is focused on clients in the pharmaceutical sector and will require the Principle Scientist to demonstrate leadership skills and operate with a high level of both autonomy and influence.
Day to day the Principal Scientist -will solve complex GC-MS problems and further business and strategic goals for the benefit of the company. The Principal Scientist will have an excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry including manufacturing and relevant regulatory requirements. The position holder will be principally responsible for providing expert technical guidance in support of the laboratories business objectives, keeping abreast of developments in your field and identifying and evaluating new technologies that might be beneficially employed by the lab.
Qualified with a Science based degree or PhD with a proven track record of relevant laboratory experience. In-depth knowledge of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and an ability to apply scientific rationale to providing practical technical solutions. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug development process, manufacturing processes and technologies. Experience of working to GMP with a good understanding of the regulatory requirements around analytical methods and validation. Excellent communication skills along with the ability of presenting research projects or other scientific data at seminars. Strong networking, influencing and cross-selling skills, ability to develop commercial relationships.
