Due to continued expansion we require an Analytical Technologist to join a leading supplier and developer of fuel based products at their European HQ based in Berkshire.
Reporting to the Analytical Team Leader this position will see you carrying out analytical testing primarily in support of the physical test and oxidation labs.
You will also providing technical support to departments, customers and company activities in line with ISO 9000 procedures whilst conforming to Health and Safety Standards.
Responsibilities & Duties will include:
1.Prioritisation, preparation and performance of tests.
2.Maintenance of laboratory records (computer/manual)
3.Reporting of results (written/verbal)
4.Calibration and maintenance of test equipment
5.Project work in line with department needs.
6.Liaise with customers and suppliers on a regular basis
7.Aid project development in line with department needs
8.Day to day supervision of student/junior members of staff if appropriate
9.Support the training/coaching of new and junior staff
10.Maintenance and promotion of good housekeeping and safety standards
Education & Experience:
To be considered for this opportunity you will hold a degree or HNC/HND in Chemistry or equivalent OR possess relevant Laboratory Operations competencies with relevant experience.
Experience in one or more of the following laboratory tests Demulse, Filtrations, Air Release, Rust, and Copper Corrosion will also be desirable.
You will also be a good team player, proactive, diplomatic and be able to challenge current systems of the company.
