 To support our continuing growth and success, we are looking to recruit Software Developers with science and engineering backgrounds who can apply their unique knowledge and expertise to solve real-world problems.

 As a Software Developer at Tessella, you will enjoy a varied, challenging and rewarding role:

        ·         Working closely with our clients to understand the business issues and challenges they face

·         Working within small teams to help identify clients’ requirements and design and develop innovative software solutions

·         Being involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle

·         Using software engineering best practice to deliver software of the highest quality to our clients

 We currently have vacancies in Stevenage and Abingdon in the UK, as well as in Boston and Washington DC in the USA. Note that you must already have working rights in the country to which you are applying prior to joining Tessella.

 About You

 We are looking for bright, enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team. You should have:

        ·         BSc (min 2:1), MSc or PhD in biological sciences, chemistry, physics, mathematics or engineering

·         Programming experience in at least one of: Java, C#, C++, C, VB, .NET or Python

·         Natural problem solving abilities

·         A desire to work across a range of industries, including pharmaceutical, oil and gas, defence, nuclear and more

·         Genuine enthusiasm for scientific IT and a real interest in a career in software development

 A flexible approach to your work life is also important as you will be expected to travel to and engage with our customers. There are regular opportunities for staff to work on customer sites for several weeks or months. Longer secondments to other Tessella     offices or to clients overseas may also arise as Tessella continues to grow.
