Available immediately for 1 year to work on the FAST-PATH project funded by the EU FP7-PEOPLE-2011-IAPP - Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways.
The successful candidate will be part of a large academic/industrial European consortium developing Image Analysis and High Performance Computing for Prostate Cancer Diagnostics. This will take advantage of novel developments in digital pathology to build and test automated cancer recognition software for large gigapixel tissue scans. This represents an exciting and challenging research program that will advance high throughput and parallel processing technologies for tissue images and new methods for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment.
To qualify for this post, the candidate must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work or studies) in the country for more than 12 months in the past 3 years.

Starting Salary: £46,322 per annum
