Project Manager - Genomics - South East UK. An innovative genomics company is looking for a project manager to coordinate an exciting new collaboration for the development of a routine cancer testing tool. This tool will be for personalised medicine and the aim is to commercialise this for response to therapy testing of solid tumours. This is a rare opportunity to project manage a collaboration between university hospitals and commercial biotech and diagnostic companies. It has come about due to funding from the technology strategy board.
This position is for a fixed term of 3 years. You will be responsible for meeting the project and business objectives of the plan. This will include leading project teams and managing interactions, project meetings, attending steering committee meetings, identifying issues and developing action plans, reviewing project progress. Initially there will be training in the USA and then travel to the USA once a year.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of project management experience, ideally in a bioscience environment and a molecular biology or related degree.
