Our South East based client are looking for a Microbiology Analyst to work in their busy UKAS accredited Laboratory facility. The role is part time (Thursday to Sunday) and is involved in analysis of a wide variety of parameters largely within a water matrix.

The position requires experience of water analysis, ideally within a Microbiology laboratory working to the ISO17025:2005 standard. The role requires someone with the ability to maintain high standards within specified limits.

The role will include routine and non-routine analysis, data interpretation, maintenance, organising workloads and assist the implementation of new methodologies.  You will also be responsible for the maintenance of records in compliance with the Management System.

All candidates must be enthusiastic team players with a flexible yet focused approach to their work.  They must also be able to display good organisation and communication skills.

Applications are invited from candidates with biology A-level qualification or biology/microbiology degree or related subject, together with experience of microbiological examination of environmental samples for example E. coli, legionella etc.

Working hours are 31 per week, Thursday to Sunday, within a working window of 7am to 7pm.
