Our client is looking for a laboratory technician to assist with the provision of sterile glassware, cleaning, refuse disposal, laundry and other general duties fully respecting the company and UK GMP, biosecurity and HSE standards.
This position is suitable for applicants with GCE /’A’ Levels or graduates who wish to gain some work experience.
Duties:
To ensure the provision of clean and sterile glassware and equipment is ready in good time.
To assist in the provision of vaccine containers to include placing into tins and sterilising.
To assist in the provision of site laundry requirements.
To assist in filling boxes with final product.
To assist in disposal of refuse in the agreed manner and time scales, ensuring that refuse from the restricted areas are passed through the autoclaves and disposed of accordingly.
To ensure that cleaning is carried out to agreed schedules and in a satisfactory manner.
The applicant will have adequate IT skills. Ability to work carefully and methodically with the minimum of supervision but also as a member of a closely knit team. Knowledge of sterilisation processes or work in a quality controlled environment would be advantageous
